Parents

As a parent of a prospective member of the Spirit of Atlanta family, thank you for allowing your son/daughter the opportunity to attend our camps. Whether you are a veteran drum corps parent or a “rookie” parent, we invite you to join your child for the weekend and get to know a little more about our organization and exactly who these people are that are going to be with your child all summer. Probably one of the best ways to understand how this drum corps thing works is to spend some time volunteering. During every camp weekend we have several volunteer positions available, and we always need help!  We have a separate area for parents and volunteers to sleep, so bring along your sleeping bag and stay the whole weekend. If you aren't into sleeping on the floor there are several hotels in the area to choose from.

On Sunday afternoons at camps we usually have “Show and Tell” to show off the weekend's progress. At the December camps, we will hold a formal parent/volunteer meeting on Friday night (times will be posted on the white board at registration). We encourage you to attend! If you can not make that meeting, we will also have designated people available on Friday nights of our weekend camps to provide you with information and answer any questions you may have.

If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity, please email Annette at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
