Hall of Fame Finalists for 2017

Spirit of Atlanta is excited to announce the Finalist Nominees for the 2017 class of the Spirit of Atlanta Hall of Fame.  Open nominations were taken in November and December, seeking those who have made significant contributions to the corps over time and who exemplify the ideals and traditions Spirit of Atlanta.  Nominees may represent any era of the corps, and can be former marching members, staff, volunteers, or anyone who deserves this honor for their efforts.

The Hall of Fame Committee recently met to review the nominees and identify a short list of candidates who comprise this year’s finalists.  A public vote will now take place to determine which of these remarkable people will be inducted into the Hall as the Class of 2017.  This year’s group is incredibly worthy of honor, and although not all will be inducted this season, we are proud to share the accomplishments of these wonderful Spirit family members, and provide the recognition they deserve simply by being nominated.  The list of finalists includes iconic names in Spirit of Atlanta history, encompasses members, staff, volunteers, and corps management, and represents a vast number of years of service to the organization.  Ross Iddings, the Committee Chair, said “we were thrilled with the enthusiastic response and the number of nominations we received. We are particularly excited that the nominees represent several distinct eras in the corps storied history.”

The 2017 Finalists are, in alphabetical order:

Mike Back
Ken Bodiford
Will Campbell
Brad Caraway
Jim Clark
Margaret Collins
Tam Easterwood
